Esperanza welcomes students seeking an internship and/or people interested in learning more about the field of Developmental DisabilitIes to have a hands-on opportunity to do so working with our Day Habilitation Program. Internships are available for students in the fields of Human Services, Psychology and Social Work. Esperanza’s professional staff will provide guidance, mentoring and instruction in their respective fields to the students.

Volunteers will be offered training in First Aid, CPR, SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention), and an overview of Developmental Disabilities. Their work in the day hab program assisting Esperanza staff will give them experience as direct care professionals.
