Tuesday and Thursday Recreation Programs

Esperanza offers recreational programs for children diagnosed with autism and severe behaviors living in Manhattan and the Bronx. Program activities are generated to specific age groups and populations.

Activities including music, computer games, art and dance therapy are provided to enhance socialization skills. The program offers one to one support for each participant. A light meal and transportation are provided.
(Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

Who is eligible for the Children's Recreation Programs?
  • Children under 18 years of age diagnosed with a developmental disability who are living with their families in Manhattan or the Bronx.

  • Admission Requirements
  • Psychological Evaluation
  • Psychosocial Evaluation
  • Current medical evaluations including PPD clearance
  • MSC or PSCC enrollment
  • Waiver enrollment
